About Perspectiv
After dropping out of Ohio State with a declared major in aerospace engineering, our founder, Meagan, chose a very arbitrary career path: film. After almost a decade of working on big-budget movies in Hollywood, Meagan decided to go back to college and finish her engineering degree in search of her life’s true purpose and passion.
While applying to schools, Meagan had the great (and likely life-altering) fortune of speaking with an aerospace engineer whose story was similar to her own. This engineer had recently completed her degree at Georgia Tech and was working full-time at a great company. However, it turned out that the day-to-day life of an aerospace engineer was not at all what Meagan had dreamt of or envisioned.
That’s when it hit her: Meagan was about to set out on an enormous, life-changing journey, go into debt again, spend at least three more years in college, yet she had no idea what an aerospace engineer actually does. She’d simply romanticized the job in her mind and imagined it would be everything she felt was missing in her film career.
Countless people have dedicated years of their lives and accrued insurmountable debt pursuing a “dream job” that ends up being a complete nightmare. People are so discontented with the work they do that it negatively affects their mood, their lives, and the lives of those around them.
That’s where Perspectiv comes in. Our mission at Perspectiv is to help as many people as possible find their purpose and live meaningful, impactful, and happy lives by helping them
select the right career path.

Jay
His passion for mentorship and education goes hand-in-hand with his innate desire to help create a world in which love and happiness are boundless — Perspectiv is simply one vehicle through which he hopes to effect such positive change.

Jay’s all-time favorite thing to do is hang out with his girls, Ella and Eva. When they’re not cuddled up on the couch watching a funny show, poring over math homework, or going for walks on the beach, Jay can be found playing guitar and singing. His band, Boomsoss, covers Phish, The Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd, and more. His other
interests include owning and driving
every car ever made (yes, ever),
anything Star Wars, and all things
Nature — he especially
loves moss.
Jay DeAmato is the Chief Growth Officer for Perspectiv. He is an accomplished sales leader, entrepreneur, and the bestselling author of The Pocket Guide for Sales Survival. As the father of two young daughters, Jay has a deep and personal connection to Perspectiv’s mission.

Our mission is to empower individuals to choose a career based not on median salaries and job market projections, but on whether they’ll love going to work each morning. Perspectiv, Inc. was founded with the goal of helping as many people as possible find their calling in life. Our team conducts hundreds of interviews with people from all walks of life. Our hope is that by telling the stories of those who’ve found their passion and purpose, we will be able to help guide those still searching for their own.

A major part of our team is all of the wonderful AstroExperts that allow us glimpses into their realities and worlds. We are so incredibly grateful that these professionals are willing to share their journeys, wisdom, and insight with us. We absolutely could not do what we do without them. We could not expand worlds, broaden horizons, and open minds in the same way. It is with their help that we are able to facilitate our mission to help as many people as possible find their purpose. Eventually, we hope to make our content available in every school across the country. Additionally, thanks to our AstroExperts, we plan to gift a membership to a person in need with each interviewee willing to share their story with us. Though Perspectiv is a for-profit business, we also intend to follow the buy-one-gift-one model so our subscribers may share in our effort to provide access, opportunity, and support where it’s most needed.
